
East Dunbartonshire’s Intervention Team, in conjunction with Anne Neil from Strathclyde University, have created a package of reading tools to be used by pupils in Primary 1 to enhance their understanding of texts.

Clovenstone’s P1 and P1/P2 classes have been enjoying an interactive approach to the teaching of phonics as extolled by Edinburgh City Council’s Achievement in Literacy programme.

Primary 3 pupils in Caol Primary in Fort William have been using interesting strategies to integrate reading, writing, talking and listening into literacy sessions.

P6/P7 pupils at Jamestown Primary in Balloch have been taking part in an exciting project aimed at improving the reading skills of P1 pupils.
