The arrow keys or 'mouse keys' on a PC keyboard are an accessibility feature designed for people who have difficulty using a mouse.
This feature enables you to use the 'NUM LOCK' part of your keyboard - those keys furthest to the right of the keyboard - to mimic your mouse.
Once enabled, you can move the mouse pointer to any place on the screen by using the arrow keys, single, right or double click, and drag and drop items just like you can with your mouse.
If you want to use the numeric keypad for data entry as well as for navigation, you can set mouse keys to be activated by pressing NUM LOCK.
