This is a new Lothian website with resources for schools, nurseries and childcare settings including: practical inclusive ideas for the classroom and school/nursery environment; health information; therapy resources; and local Health Professional contacts.

The resources on this website have been designed primarily to provide teaching and support staff with information, advice, strategies and activities that are both functional and relevant, and that can be used to support children with additional support needs in the classroom.

ASL Published Resources:

This section of the website includes useful links to some Mental Health downloadable resources, a Speech and Language Therapy published resource list and an Ocupational Therapy Published resource list and much more.

ASL Resource Packs:

This section includes SureStart - information on early communication development, Therapy Inclusion Project Packs (TIP) and a Teachers' Guide to Cerebral Palsy.

ASL Resource Sheets:

This section includes sheets containing advice, strategies and activities for use with children in classroom or nursery settings. The advice has been developed collaboratively by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and child and adolscent mental health staff and is structured into headings and sub-headings. Each heading / sub-heading represents an area of development that may pose a barrier to learning for a child.
