Looked After Children And Young People - We Can and Must Do Better

The Scottish Government publication: Looked After Children and Young People: We Can and Must Do Better is intended for everyone who is concerned with looked after children and young people and their families. This includes; elected members, local authority staff, staff in voluntary organisations, private providers, foster carers, health professionals and those involved in developing and improving children’s services. 

The report reflects a desire to see a step change in outcomes for looked after children and young people. To this end Looked After Children and Young People: We Can and Must Do Better follows the discussions which took place during the meetings of the Ministerial short-life working group and refers throughout to the views and experiences of looked after children and young people.
