IDES

The IDES Network

What we do: IDES supports teachers, school managers, educationalists and business people. We focus on innovation in education and how ideas from grass roots teachers can be shared and used to transform our schools. We take on major projects which influence the shape of education, such as Enterprise and Creativity. We also offer practical help to classroom teachers. Become a member

Administration for the IDES Network is currently being transferred to the Professional Learning and Development Centre (PLDC), School of Education, University of Aberdeen. This website will be moved to the University’s site in due course.

IDES project – Building Learning Communities

In 2008, IDES will examine how both primary and secondary sectors can effectively approach personalisation of education and will pursue the fundamental values of IDES by encouraging young people to help make their school a community of learning where all participants recognise they are learners and support each other to achieve excellence.
