Animation work

Following on from this recording work, the children were involved in creating stop-frame animation to accompany the music they created. Working with the South Lanarkshire Council Arts Development team, Paul Buchanan, who specialises in new media, worked with the children using a software program called FrameThief and Apple Macintosh laptops to produce high quality animation. Having the involvement of the Arts Development team meant that the school did not need to purchase any extra equipment in order to carry out this project and the skills that they learned whilst creating stop-frame animation could easily be transferred to other situations when they leave school.
