Glow Mentors

What do Glow Mentors do?

Glow mentors will drive change in education. On a basic level, mentors train staff on how to use Glow as a communication tool; they also provide additional benefits as a coach and mentor to build up confidence and competence for teachers in using ICT in learning and teaching.

Glow is at the beginning of an exciting journey: from this point forward, it depends on Mentors sharing information, personal talents and experiences to create a unique Scottish education network, one that is relevant to the needs of facilitators in the education process.

Mentor training

Over the past year, a key area of work for the Glow team has been to provide as many opportunities as possible for the educational community in Scotland to explore Glow, discover the range of benefits and see how it can be used within the classroom. As Glow rolls out, the Glow team have provided Mentor training to many of Scotland’s local authorities. To find out what stage your authority is at, visit our Glow in your area section.
