The Interconnect
The Interconnect 2.0 facilitates the delivery of the digital content to the local authority's datacentre boundary. Managed by LTS and delivered by Thus and JANET(UK) it provides high bandwidth communications between the local authorities, Glow datacentre and other national bodies such as Learning and Teaching Scotland, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and SEEMIS.
Interconnect performance
Monitoring and reporting of Interconnect 2.0 is via monthly reporting from LTS to technical contacts within each of the connected organisations.
Interconnect email lists
Two email lists have been set up to facilitate communication and the exchange of information:
- Interconnect Managers' email list - for management staff in connected organisations
- Interconnect Technical Contacts email list - for authorised technical contacts in organisations using the Interconnect.
Registered list members can access a full archive of the emails online.
How to join the email lists
All requests for changes and additions to these lists should be made through nominated Glow technical or management contacts for your local authority and sent to glowadmin@LTScotland.org.uk.
