Glow is a national schools intranet, providing pupils and teachers with an online facility allowing for joined-up working the length and breadth of Scotland.

Glow is a set of tools which are technically familiar and socially fit for a 21st centaury education. Glow offers many functions to enhance learning experiences.

What content is in Glow?

There are resources for maths languages and science at all ages and stages, with additional resources for music, art and modern studies. For more detail on resources available to authenticated users of Glow, see our National content area.


Will Glow work on my computer?

Glow will work on a variety of computer systems and a range of browsers within PC, Mac and Linux.


What is a Glow Mentor?

Glow Mentors aim to promote and support the use of Glow across schools and embed learning and teaching. Glow Mentors are a core of trained staff within each local authority, trained by the central Glow team. To find out more, see our Glow Mentors page.
