| QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) |
A non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). It is governed by a board, whose members are appointed by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, and managed on a day-to-day basis by an executive team. |

Quality Improvement Officer, employed by local authority education services to help raise achievement and manage improvement. |

Quality of Service is the idea that transmission rates, error rates and other characteristics of network traffic can be measured, improved, and, to some extent, guaranteed in advance. QoS is of particular concern for the continuous transmission of high-bandwidth video and multimedia information. |
