
The Office of Fair Trading has launched a free web-based toolkit for use in Scottish secondary schools that uses everyday consumer situations, such as choosing a mobile phone or returning trainers to a shop, as contexts for developing numeracy and literacy skills.

Over 50 subject coordinators for these areas from schools across Scotland will attend a free Skilled to go launch in Edinburgh on Tuesday 9 February.
Teachers can also share their experiences of using Skilled to go with their colleagues at staff or network meetings using a Cascade Skilled to go resource, which includes a PowerPoint presentation, sample hard copy activities and Skilled to go merchandise.
