If we don’t take every vulnerable child into care, can we do a better job of supporting them at home? Are young people who leave care while at home invisible to you? Do you know who they are? Do you know what they need?

If you are in social work, health, education, youth work, family support, community development, children’s rights, advocacy, or kinship care, your service needs to seek out and support these young people. 

If you are a policy maker, decision maker, MSP, Councillor, corporate parent or involved in community planning, a Children’s Reporter or Children’s Panel member, your decisions affect these young people’s life chances. What are their rights and your responsibilities? If you are a looked after young person or care leaver, your experience and views are invaluable.
