Pupils from Peebles High School are working closely with Muir Homes, a family owned business to construct a building that will house an indoor classroom for teaching a variety of skills and trades that every modern day construction worker will need. This was called ‘The Muir Project’.
A secondary school and a local food manufacturing company have created a partnership project aimed at first year students. Employer personnel, school staff and students discuss the project, the way that it developed, opportunities for cross-curricular learning and the how it has raised self-esteem for many students.
