The movies and information in this section illustrate employer partnerships in Scottish schools. You can work though the activities independently or collaboratively. The activities include questions to enable you to reflect upon partnership and what this means for young people, teachers and employers.

Case studies
Primary pupils rear fish for ecology project
This case study describes a partnership between Alva Primary School and people involved in environmental work to rear trout which were released in the burn that runs through the school grounds.
Creating products for a housing company
This partnership between building company CALA Homes and Graeme High School in Falkirk shows the experiences of collaborative working and the positive impact on pupil learning and attainment in the Geography and Design and Technology departments.
Going to work improves pupils' confidence
Young people at Linburn School are working at McAlpine Plumbing. The movies decribe the growth in their skills and self-esteem and highlight the professionalism and pride they take in their work.
