Whole school approach

The senior management team at Balfron High School in Stirling took the whole school approach to delivering the Partnership with Employers training.

The course was based around discussion, involvement and interaction through collaborative activities. Those attending had the opportunity to listen to young people talking about their learning experiences in various contexts in video interviews. Consideration was given to the relationship these experiences had on the design principles of Curriculum for Excellence.

The aims of the training day were:

  • to show how Partnership with Employers might be an incentive for learners and teachers
  • to show that employers could bring major advantages to teachers and learners in the classroom.
