Early Years

Listening to children - children's voices and participation

In conversation with Professor Kathleen Marshall, Linda Kinney and Professor Peter Moss

On Saturday 5 November over 150 early years educators from across Scotland attended the second in a series of national seminars. You can read a brief report of the seminar below and download keynote presentations. In due course we hope to offer video footage of the seminar.

Keynote presentations

The day began with a welcome and introduction by Juliet Hancock and Eileen Carmichael. Delegates then enjoyed keynote presentations by Kathleen Marshall, Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People, Linda Kinney, Head of Children’s Services at Stirling Council, and Peter Moss, Professor of Early Childhood Provision, University of London. The three thought-provoking presentations stimulated debate and discussion between the audience and speakers.
