Building your curriculum - technical tasks

This PowerPoint and associated Word documents may assist in developing more detail for the curriculum structure for your school or centre. The materials may help to capture your strategic vision of what your curriculum will look like to reflect the features set out in 'Building the Curriculum 3'. It is important to ensure your curriculum structure reflects 'the totality of all that is planned for children and young people' ('Building the Curriculum 3', page 20).

The PowerPoint and associated Word documents could be used within a school or centre, cluster or education authority to stimulate discussion on key issues that should be taken into account in designing curriculum structures. Participants can agree key tasks and focus areas to work on. A recall session may enable participants to share progress in developing their curriculum and inform further thinking and future practices.
