| Background information |
CPD is important - for teachers, for the children and young people in our schools and for the future economic success of Scotland. Ambitious, excellent schools need teachers who have confidence and competence to deliver the new curriculum. High quality CPD can help achieve this, and CPD team aims to lead and support the development of world-class CPD for Scottish educators. | Quality statement |
Members of the CPD team are subject to regular review. All our project work is evaluated. We are primarily concerned with the impact it has on educational practice and we rely heavily on our critical friends in the CPD Network. We frequently use independent evaluators (such as University colleagues) to help us assess that impact. |
| Disclosure Scotland statement | All members of the team, likely to come into contact with young people or vulnerable adults, have Disclosure Scotland status. |
