Help us develop CPDFind
We want this tool to be effective and inclusive. If you have any ideas about how it might develop, or be promoted, we want to hear from you.
Here is our thinking to date...
Stage 1 - Building on the work of the previous Register of CPD Providers
Providers on the Register of CPD Providers have already been offered access to CPDFind. They can enter their own CPD provision.
If you are a CPD provider and think you should have heard from us:
- check the A-Z of CPD providers - if your organisation is there, you should have access to the system
- visit our CPD providers' area for more information or email us at CPD Register (cpdregister@LTScotland.org.uk).
Stage 2 - Extending the network of CPD providers
We are working on two areas over the period June to September 2007:
- Identifying and working with CPD providers (not on the Register) to make their opportunities available
- Working with local authority providers of CPD to make links between their local online CPD systems and CPDFind.
If you are a CPD provider not on the CPDFind database:
- visit the CPD providers' area for more information on how to join
- drop us a line at CPD Register (cpdregister@LTScotland.org.uk).
If you know of good CPD providers out there that should be on the system, please drop Con Morris a line (c.morris@LTScotland.org.uk).
Stage 3 - Localising and personalising the information available
This stage is linked to the work on Glow. Using the Glow log-in details will allow us to:
- set up CPD providers at establishment, learning community and local authority level
- endorse CPD opportunities on the system
- provide a direct link to CPDFind from the staff home page of Glow
- set ‘alerts’ for areas of CPD that interest you.
