We want this tool to be effective and inclusive. If you have any ideas about how it might develop, or be promoted, we want to hear from you.
As a result of feedback to date, here are the current plans for the tool (please note some are dependent on funding being available):
- The CPD team will be contacting a number of organisations who provide CPD to persuade them of the value of having their opportunities on CPDFind.
- A link will be available for other CPD websites to link to the CPDFind tool. For example, you may go to your local authority's online CPD catalogue and there will be a link to this tool to give you further choices.
- When Glow comes along, we will be offering more localisation and personalisation, such as:
- Glow users will be able to endorse CPD opportunities that they found to be useful
- local authority CPD managers and establishment CPD co-ordinators will be able add their own ‘catalogues’ of CPD opportunities for their staff
- it will be possible to set alerts for certain keywords to tell you when new CPD opportunities have been added.
- We will be trialling a service where a complete local authority catalogue is replicated on CPDFind, to see if we can achieve a one-stop shop.
