Climate change is recognised as the most serious environmental threat we face. Unless we can reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and gas, the consequences of dangerous climate change will become irreversible, and its impacts on economies and populations increasingly unpredictable.
Climate change provides a range of learning opportunities for schools, in areas such as social studies, technologies, expressive arts, health and wellbeing and languages, as well as in science, and is compatible with development in all of the four capacities of Curriculum for Excellence.
This site is currently under review, and will complement our climate change resource for secondary schools, with up-to-date information and resources for primary in the near future. Should you still wish to access the old site, you can do so in the archive section.
In the meantime visit Climate Change Secondary for the latest international research and essential information, details of climate research in Scotland, and photographs from around the world for use in Scottish schools.
