Audit tools to support review of current practice have been prepared by LT Scotland in consultation with local authorities and teachers. Each pack contains orientation materials appropriate to each stage to familiarise staff with the framework, questionnaires to audit current practice, and materials to engage children and students in discussion of education for citizenship.

Completing the audit should assist schools and centres by:

  • linking existing practice with the national framework
  • identifying existing strengths and areas for development
  • providing a sound basis for development planning.
