Jubilee Scotland Education Pack
Jubilee Scotland campaigns for 100% debt cancellation for the world's poorest countries. It has produced a free Education Pack for secondary schools in association with the Educational Institute of Scotland. This provides a brief history of debt, case studies on individual countries, and classroom activities. Particularly useful for those teaching economics, environmental studies, geography, modern studies and RME.

Scottish CND: Ban the Bomb.Org Learning Aids
Excellent and informative website offering teachers and students resources for researching CND, nuclear weapons and other related issues. The Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament is a long running peace organisation campaigning against nuclear weapons and for a nuclear-free world.

Organisations

Age Concern
Charity which supports people over 50 by providing services and information. It also campaigns on a range of issues concerning older people and works to influence public opinion and government policy.

The British Council of Disabled People
The UK's national organisation of the worldwide Disabled People's Movement. Established and run by disabled people to promote full equality and participation in UK society.

Child Poverty Action Group
Promotes action for the relief of poverty among children and families. Campaigns and provides information which seeks to improve benefits and policies for low-income families. Provides latest facts and figures on poverty in the UK, advice on welfare benefits system, training and seminars.

Friends of the Earth Scotland
Independent charity and pressure group campaigning on environment issues of public concern. Offers booklets, publications and information on local and national campaigns.

Greenpeace
Independent, non-profit, global campaigning organisation on environment issues. Informative and interesting site with some educational resources.

Help the Aged
Charity supporting and addressing the issues of older people. It works together with older people to campaign, research and develop practical solutions to poverty, isolation, ageism and poor standards of care.

Liberty
A leading human rights and civil liberties organisation in the UK. Produces some teaching material although this is aimed at the English curriculum.

Runnymede Trust
Works with minority ethnic communities and policy makers to fight social injustice and racial discrimination. Interest areas include education, the criminal justice system, employment and citizenship.

Shelter
UK campaigning charity for homelessness and badly housed people. Downloadable factsheets on housing and homelessness in the UK and information on housing campaigns and policy in Scotland and the UK.

Trades Union Congress
Brings together Britain's unions to draw up common policies, lobbies government and campaigns for economic and social justice.
