| Age range | S2 |
| Summary | The Pupil Council became very involved in helping to decide important changes and developments in the school. S2 members of the Pupil Council developed a questionnaire for pupils asking ‘how good is our school?’ and analysed the responses. They created a giant spider’s web, plotting pupils’ ideas and views. The findings then informed the school development plan. |

| Project | Anti-sectarianism |
| Age range | S1 |
| Summary | A PSE class decided to look at sectarianism, which continues to be an issue for people living in and around Glasgow. They invited an expert from ‘Sense Over Sectarianism’ to the class to tell them about the history of sectarianism in Glasgow. They visited St Mungo’s Museum of Religion to look at all the different religions that are practised in Glasgow. |
| Students' comments | Planning: 'We began a group project. We had to decide who we wanted to work with, what specific topic within sectarianism we wanted to study, eg sectarianism and football, the history of sectarianism in Scotland, and sectarianism in other parts of the world, and how we wanted to present our work, for example a PowerPoint presentation, a play, etc.'
Research: 'We had to plan what information or materials we would need and who was responsible for getting it. We had to use the internet, newspapers or asking others to get our information.' Reaction: 'I think I liked the fact that we got to choose what we wanted to do.'
What next: 'Our project is going one step further. We are using our knowledge about sectarianism to make a one-minute anti-sectarian advert. This involves making storyboards, learning how to use the video cameras and using the computers to edit our footage.' |
