Mapping the Social Subjects Curriculum

The Social Subject Associations Citizenship Liaison Group commissioned research from the University of Edinburgh to map the contribution of the main social subjects to education for citizenship. The result is a report which focuses on the contribution of each social subject and further looks at that contribution for pupils who are 14+.

The paper addresses two main questions: what are the key areas of knowledge and skills covered in Standard Grade, Intermediate, Higher and Advanced Higher courses and how do these relate to education for citizenship?
