  • We share our learning objectives on a regular basis with parents and carers.
  • We discuss with children what they are expected to learn by sharing learning intentions.
  • We share success criteria with children to help them know when they have achieved a learning intention.
  • We help children to understand success criteria by sharing examples of work.

Questions to ask

  • To what extent do we encourage parents to support their child’s learning by sharing broad learning objectives and success criteria with them?
  • To what extent do we share learning intentions and success criteria effectively using clear language in a way that helps children with their learning?
  • To what extent do children fully understand the learning intentions and how to achieve them?
