Things to think about

  • Our children and staff contribute to identifying their own next steps and learning goals through dialogue based on feedback and evidence of learning.
  • We encourage children to plan and record next steps in learning through the personal learning planning process, for example future goals are negotiated with children and recorded in useful ways, such as learning stories or photos (various forms of digital media may be used).
  • We provide regular opportunities to help children and staff develop the habit of thinking about their own learning.
