SQA marking instructions were used to develop learning intentions in a Higher English class, and pupils used two stars and a wish to peer assess each other's work.
An improved quality of writing was achieved when pupils became more reflective, had the desire to improve, and understood the structures given for success.
In Scotstown they implemented an approach to PLPs throughout the whole school. The approach was to be embedded as part of the AifL culture, which had been developed over the previous two academic years.
