Introduction

SSA was introduced in 2005 as part of the Assessment is for Learning programme. Since then, SSA has surveyed:

  • English language (2005)

  • Social subjects (enquiry skills) (2006)

  • Science, science literacy and core skills (2007)

  • Mathematics and Core Skills (2008)

  • Reading and Writing (2009).
