Support for the National System of Assessment – progress update

Since the award of the contract in June a number of user scenarios have been evaluated by the National Assessment Resource (NAR) developer (Intrallect Ltd), and the design process is in full swing. As part of the design process, the developer has produced flow diagrams and wireframes, indicating how the service will operate. This stage of development is due for completion in early September. The National Assessment Resource User Group (NARUG), Scottish Government, Learning and Teaching Scotland and The Scottish Qualifications Authority will review the design document and meet with the developer by mid-September to agree on what will be required. The plan is to have a ‘NAR Lite’ version available by February in order to allow elements of user testing to be undertaken and evaluated, so that the NAR can go live later in 2010.
