Opening a database

This is an activity to try on your computer

You are going to use a file called Health Advice for Travellers. You may have already copied this file into your folder on the hard disk.

To load the file from your own folder:

  1. Double-click on the icon for My Documents.
  2. Scroll down the alphabetical list of folders to reach your own.
  3. Double-click on your own folder.
  4. Double-click on the icon for Health Advice for Travellers.
  5. Double-click on your file in the list to open it. It should already be highlighted.

The computer recognises that the file Health Advice for Travellers is an Access data file. It launches Access and then loads the data file into the Access structure.
