Adding a formula activity

This is an activity to try on your computer

Let's try entering another formula.

In your copy of the file, you are going to enter into cell D12 a formula that will add up the values in D6 to D11. This will tell the manager the total cost for all the equipment.

Click on D12. This tells the computer where to put the formula that you will enter.
Type an equals sign (=) in the formula bar.
In the formula bar, enter D6+D7+d8+d9+D10+D11. (Note that the use of capitals is not necessary.)
Press the Return key.

The result £5,764.90 will appear in D12.
