Adding a formula activity
Let's try entering another formula.
In your copy of the file, you are going to enter into cell D12 a formula that will add up the values in D6 to D11. This will tell the manager the total cost for all the equipment.
- Click on D12. This tells the computer where to put the formula that you will enter.
- Type an equals sign (=) in the formula bar.
- In the formula bar, enter D6+D7+d8+d9+D10+D11. (Note that the use of capitals is not necessary.)
- Press the Return key.
The result £5,764.90 will appear in D12.
