Shutting down the system
Do not simply walk away from a computer when you finish your work. You must always shut it down properly.
Play the animation to see how to shut down the system correctly.
Remember the procedure when shutting a computer down correctly,
- Move the pointer to the Start button on the task bar and click.
- Click on Shut Down.
- Select Shut Down from the drop-down menu if it is not already selected.
- Click the OK button.
Now return to the checklist at the beginning and tick off the skills that you have learned.
Repeat any section that you cannot remember how to do. You will need all these skills for the other sections of this unit IT Core Skills – Access 3.
