Have you used a telephone book?
Have you used a catalogue to buy CDs or clothes?
Have you seen a holiday brochure and dreamt of a holiday in the sun?
If the answer to the above questions is YES then you have used a database. A database is a list of items, all of the same kind. They are listed in a way that makes it easier for you to find information.
