Shutting down the system
Do not simply walk away from a computer when you finish your work. You must always shut it down properly.
Play the animation to see how to shut down the system correctly.
To shut a computer down correctly:
- close all windows open on the desktop
- open the Apple menu
- click Shut Down in the Apple menu.
Now return to the checklist at the beginning and tick off the skills that you have learned.
Repeat any task that you cannot remember how to do. You will need to know how to do them for the other sections of this unit IT Core Skills – Access 3.
