Chris wants to earn extra cash by doing odd jobs. Help him edit this advert for putting in the local newsagent's window.

Follow these steps to change the original 'Before' document to the edited 'After' document.

  1. Open your folder and find the file Advert.
  2. Open the file Advert.

Enter new text

  1. Place the text cursor on the blank line just below 'Washing'.
  2. Enter 'Fetching messages'.
  3. Place the text cursor just after 'Phone'
  4. Enter '0178 564312'.

Edit text

All that Chris knows about gardening is pulling out weeds. He thinks that he should change 'gardening' to 'weeding'.

  1. Place the text cursor at the end of 'Gardening'.
  2. Press Delete until 'Gardening' is cleared.
  3. Enter 'Weeding'.

Chris wants to change 'holiday cash' into 'extra pocket money'.

  1. Place the text cursor at the end of 'cash'.
  2. Press Delete to delete 'holiday cash'.
  3. Enter 'extra pocket money'.

Now save and print your file.

Keep your printout in a folder of work. Your tutor may want to see it.

Remember to Close the file in the usual way.
