Analysing
a task Brainstorming
Brainstorming happens when a group of people sit down and list as
many ideas as possible without commenting on them. Every idea is recorded.
How to brainstorm
- Keep a relaxed atmosphere.
- Have the right size of team. 5 to 7 people
is best.
- Choose a leader to keep things moving.
- State the problem clearly so that everyone
knows what is being discussed.
- Do not allow anyone to criticise or comment on ideas.
- Think of as many ideas as possible.
- Choose someone to write down every idea
they should use a flipchart or a big piece of paper.
- When everyone is finished giving ideas, go through them and
get rid of duplicates. If any are vague, ask
for clarification.
- Give everyone a copy of the ideas and have another session
in a few days time to discuss them.
