Web addresses

Every web page has its own unique address, just like a postal address. This address tells computers on the system where information is held.

A web address is made up of the name of the computer network holding the information and the name of the web page. A web address is usually known as a Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

It is possible to have different site types and countries. Here are some other commonly used ones.
