Before you carry on with the remainder of this Study Section, write a memo of about 100 to 200 words to your tutor. In this memo, you should tell your tutor how comfortable you feel with all that we’ve discussed so far. Tell him/her:- How comfortable you are with the idea of meeting the reader’s needs
- How you feel about linking and signposting in order to structure your writing
- About any spelling or punctuation problems you feel you have
- About your progress in general
- Any other things that you think s/he needs to know that are affecting your progress.
Here is what a memo looks like. Roll your mouse over the shaded areas for an explanation. You can use this as a template for writing your own memo. The parts written in bold lettering are the parts that always appear. The other words should, of course, be your own.
When you have finished, submit your work to your teacher/tutor in the way you've been instructed.
