The LTS headquarters are in Glasgow city centre in a new building decorated and outfitted in 2006. The offices have tablet PCs and flat screen monitors, a wireless network and custom-built meeting rooms with presentation and videoconferencing facilities.   

There are bike racks and showers for cyclists, a small shop and a café. The social committee funds several staff groups, including social outings for staff and the LTS Camera Club. You can see some of the pictures taken by the Camera Club on the Flickr website.

The Dundee offices is currently located on level 9 of City House in the Overgate Centre. The office is bright and modern and has videoconferencing facilities. Nearby in the Overgate Centre there is a wide range of shops and cafes.

The LTS Library has books, journals and resources to support staff with research and information tasks. It is located in the Glasgow office but has an online catalogue for easy access to the collection.

Staff benefits scheme

LTS has a corporate benefit scheme exclusively for its employees, with opportunities for discounts at high street retailers, restaurants, hotels and leisure facilities throughout Tayside and Glasgow.

Pension schemes

Permanent members of staff are eligible to join two pension schemes - the Strathclyde Pension Fund or the Scottish Public Pensions Agency.

Gym membership (Glasgow)

Permanent and fixed-term employees at LTS are eligible for a corporate membership rate at all Glasgow City Council's Health and Fitness clubs. 

Contribution to eye care costs

If you need glasses due to the use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE), for example computer monitors, LTS will offer a £30 contribution to employees as long as they have completed their probationary period.

Healthcare

All LTS employees are entitled to join the Hospital Savings Association cash plan after completing the probationary period of employment. There are various levels of cover available.

Employee Counselling Service

The Employee Counselling Service is a free, confidential, external service available to all employees. It offers counselling on stress, family or relational problems, harassment at work, bereavement, anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress, alcohol or drug-related problems and excessive gambling.

In addition, LTS has requested an additional package to cover problems involving debt or financial difficulties as well as a guaranteed out-of-hours service.

Individual Learning Accounts

All employees are entltled to apply for an individual learning account after six months' employment at LTS. Eligible staff are entitled to spend up to £150 on a course of their choice. This can include self-learning packs, weekend, evening or leisure classes, sports activities or e-learning programmes.
