LTS Online Service
The LTS Online Service is a huge collection of websites presenting information, resources, advice, publications, videos, news and much more, of relevance and significance to Scottish education.
It aims to serve the needs of teachers, early years practitioners, headteachers and deputes, school managers, school librarians, parents, learners, and others involved in the education of school-age children and young people taking National Qualifications.
The Online Service attracted more than three million visits in 2006 and a study carried out by George Street Research found that the Service was the first port of call for the teaching profession when looking for educational information.
The Online Service is continually expanding and redeveloping. Currently the main focus is on preparing to support the requirements and structure of Curriculum for Excellence.
The team
LTS has a skilled team working on the Online Service, including technical, web development and video specialists, graphic designers, content editors, cataloguers and proofreaders.
LTS also provides staff expertise, development advice and technical support services to many other partner organisations.
