HSEE Advice for Outdoor Learning Framework
The Outdoor Learning Strategic Advisory Group (OLSAG), convened by Scottish Government, is developing an Outdoor Learning Framework to be supported by a partnered outdoor learning web resource. The Outdoor Learning Framework will have a section on health and safety considerations underpinned by online guidance.
This project is to produce relevant and concise health and safety guidance for educational excursions for on line publication. The project will contribute to and reflect the changes in health and safety culture such as the myth busting approach of both the Health and Safety Executive and the Scottish Institute for Residential Child Care (SIRCC) as well as the risk / benefit approach of PlayScotland.
To facilitate the input of good practice guidance and health & safety considerations within the partnered outdoor learning web resource, our requirement calls for the appointment of a consultant to undertake research, multi reviewing exercises, and to produce material for inclusion on the website.
