Special Focus - Early Intervention

It is approximately ten years since the first projects were begun in relation to early intervention.

These were almost exclusively based on literacy skills improvement. Later projects on numeracy were added.

This 'Focus on Early Intervention' shows examples of what developed in different Scottish local authorities over the years since the government allocated finance to support the early intervention initiative. The special focus could not have been completed without the freely given material from the Scottish local authorities that provided the contributions making up the majority of the focus.
