In schools where there is a quality physical education programme being run there is always a strong commitment from the head teacher. There is an understanding that physical education is important not just for the health and finess of the children but is beneficial to learning within the classroom and that physical education can do a lot to boost the school ethos and raise self-esteem amongst pupils.
