- negative numbers (eg. temperature);

- all widely used fractions and equivalence among these and decimals (in applications);

- decimals to 3 places (practical applications in measurement).

- an extended range of powers,
eg. cubes and square roots;

- scientific notation for large and small numbers (convert numbers into scientific notation and vice versa/ recognise calculator displays);
